Sustainable development blog : ecology and humanitarian aid

Humanitarian aid refers to material or logistical assistance provided for humanitarian purposes, that is to say saving lives, alleviating suffering, and maintaining human dignity. Humanitarian aid is triggered in response to humanitarian crises. What we call "Development aid", on

the contrary, seeks to address the underlying socioeconomic factors which may have led to a crisis or emergency. But what are the real impacts of humanitarian aid on the field, and how can we measure them ? This paper aims at answering these questions.
